Guemes Island Ferry Committee

To the Guemes Island Community:

Thanks to those who have sent in comments to Public Works and our County Commissioners! Keep up the good work!

We are well over 40 pages of public comment and hoping for more.

If you still plan to send in comments, you have until March 31st, however the sooner they get submitted, the more likely they are to be considered.

Submit comments to the two email addresses below, and cc/bcc if you would like your comments added to the public list linked below.

This Work Session is NOT a public comment period. Public input is NOT taken at this meeting. If you choose to show up, please go to listen, and to watch, and to hold your county officials accountable. You will be there to observe the conversation they have, but that is all. Please be respectful and professional!

Upcoming Town Hall with State Legislators:
Join your 40th District legislators for a live town hall

Saturday, March 18th from 11 am – 12 pm.
Skagit Co. PUD #1 Aqua Room
1415 Freeway Dr. Mount Vernon

Sen. Liz Lovelett, Rep. Debra Lekanoff, and Rep. Alex Ramel will share legislative priorities and answer your questions on the issues important to you. If you’re unable to join us, please submit questions ahead of time by clicking here.

These representatives advocated for a new ferry that would significantly reduce operating costs and they should be made aware that Skagit County is now proposing a 71% rate hike before the new ferry comes online.

Thank you for taking the time to advocate for your community!
