Ferry Operations and Service Survey 2019

The ferry operations and service survey closed September 15. We had 550 participants, 52% were full time island residents and 26% were part-time island residents. Thank you to everyone who took time to submit feedback. We received a lot of great comments and suggestions. This was the first of two online surveys we plan to publish for our work with BERK Consulting and KPFF Consulting Engineers to improve your ferry experience.

We’re working with BERK and KPFF to study possible system improvements that address issues identified by the ferry community. Once we understand what you are most interested in, we will look at the operational and cost implications of the preferred options.

BERK and KPFF’s work will result in two packages of system improvement options (both prioritizing two round-trips per hour).

  • Package 1: Service improvements that can be attained with minimum investment
  • Package 2: Additional service improvements that come at a higher cost
